course of choice. Focus is on rhythm and basic steps.
Beyond Basic
(Level 2) – 6 weeks
For students who have some dance experience in the dance being offered
- most students will have completed a basic, level 1, or introduction
course. Students will learn simple patterns and will continue to focus
on basics and the development of style and technique.
Intermediate
(Level 3) – 6 weeks
For students who are comfortable with the basic steps in the dance being
offered, or who have completed at least two basic courses (level1/2, or
basics/beyond basics). Focus is on learning intermediate patterns and
continuing to develop style and technique.
Variations – 6 weeks
For intermediate students who wish to focus on improving dance technique
and learn popular patterns and variations. Each new course introduces
new steps and patterns. Since each course is different, variations level
is not available to audit for free.
Boot Camp – 7 weeks
Our Boot-Camp courses are designed for intermediate and advanced
dancers. Students must have experience taking group classes, be
comfortable with dance movement, and know the basic rhythm and steps of
the dance being offered. Students learn an advanced choreographed
routine and work on the skills and techniques required to be an
excellent dancer. Boot-Camps include a written syllabus and a DVD
demonstration of the routine to be taught. Up to 1 hour of practice time
and assistance is offered at the
end of each class. Since each new course introduces a brand new routine,
boot camps are not available to audit..
